Looking over to Corfu’s Old Fortress. We walked around Corfu’s waterfront to where I could get this view back over the water -Ionian Sea – at this historic Venetian fortress (Corfu was under the rule of the Venetian dukes from the early 14th century until 1797). Shot in May 2011 using Fujifilm Velvia 50 (non-digital, Carl Zeiss 80-200mm lens).

Santorini – For the Best Views, Walk to Oia

Santorini

The walk along Santorini's caldera to Oia from Fira is one of the best and most scenic walks I've ever done. As it is, Santorini is stunning and you can get a lot of iconic Greek isle photos along this route. And at the end of the walk, grab a good lunch or dinner in Oia.

We walked in the morning, starting the 9km walk from Fira - following the signs from the cable car in the direction of Imerovigli. After this it's fairly evident that there's only one path going toward Oia. Other...

For those of us who live closer to Australia than to the U.S., a trip to Melbourne is probably easier to wrangle. And if you have a craving for good, old lone star barbecue, then Bluebonnet Barbecue in Melbourne may fill those needs. Besides excellent Angus beef ribs, they also make their own sausages and have really good sides.
