Miller’s Guild – Good Sides and Seafood, Main Event Lacking

Miller's Guild bread

I went to Miller's Guild in downtown Seattle, a restaurant known for its huge wood-fired grill, recently. It was my second time back at the restaurant after coming here last September. Unfortunately, I think I liked it more the first time around as the signature thick slabs of steak were not as tender as I'd anticipated.

The sides were, in my opinion, the best part of our meal. From my first visit, we really liked the grilled Romaine lettuce salad (which is tasty as it's...

Seattle’s Chihuly Exhibit – Glass Distinction

Seattle Center Chihuly exhibit

The Dale Chihuly exhibit, Garden and Glass, at the Seattle Center is a must see. Going on a Saturday morning also meant I could check out the farmers' market - a big plus as I discovered a most amazing cinnamon bun. The ferry ride is an easy 35 minutes and you also get sight of Mt Rainier looming over the sound on the way.

I'm in Seattle for a week visiting relatives and with the unusual run of dry weather, keen to take a bunch of photos. One of the nicest views of the city can be seen...

Pic of the Day – Seattle Reflected

This colourful building is the EMP Museum (designed by Frank Gehry) located adjacent to Seattle Center. And of course, the Seattle Space Needle is a well known landmark. I basically liked the colours on the EMP and framed the shot to see the different colour panels with the Space Needle reflection. I shot this using a wide angle at 35mm.
