New York style deli Sascha &amp; Sons is serving up all the goodies &#8211; chopped liver, lox, bagels and blintzes. The pastrami knish was really good &#8211; this is not the potato based knish you\u00a0usually see\u00a0in New York, this is better. Firstly, they were\u00a0served on a good rye bread that was just the right thickness, grilled and nicely slathered with mustard. Secondly, the corned beef and meatloaf were both moist. This was particularly notable for the meatloaf which can be dry. The reuben had just the right\u00a0quantum\u00a0of sauerkraut and swiss cheese. \u00a0The meatloaf sandwich had tomato chutney. These sandwiches are the &#8220;regular&#8221; size and they also come in large and extra large. \u00a0So while I really wanted to have a blintz for dessert, it was beyond me. Given the quality and portion of the food, I thought is was actually a good deal especially for an eatery located on Orchard Road (Sascha &amp; Sons is in the Mandarin Gallery).<\/p>\n<p>Just to nitpick on my part,\u00a0it did take more than 20 minutes to receive our food after ordering (not very New York). But not much more and this is within most restaurant standards.
