Chicago’s amazing architecture is best seen from the river and doing so at twilight adds something special as building lights illuminate. The Chicago Architecture Foundation’s (CAF) river cruise is fun and relaxing and for around 90 minutes, it was nice way to find out more about the architecture along the Chicago River and also a great way to photograph the buildings.<\/p>\n

The twilight river cruise starts at 7:30pm and ends at 9:00pm (only runs in the late Spring through Summer) and I thought that this was the perfect way to spend an evening giving me the opportunity\u00a0to snap some sunset shots of the \u00a0Chicago skyline. I bought my ticket from the CAF’s ticket counters down by the river on Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive. It’s not a cheap outing at USD42.58 but well worth it with lots of information presented in an enjoyable manner. My tip is that the best place to sit is at the back so you can turn around and take photos from the back of the vessel with largely unobstructed views.<\/p>\n
